Hartal is a country wide demonstration,a way of appealing to change an unpopular or unacceptable decision to the government by justifying peoples support through participation.

Reasons of Calling Hartal

There are some major reasons behind calling hartals –Lack of respect shown by the government to the opposite opinion: Sometimes Government shows little or no respect to the opposition regarding any certain political issue because they think respecting oppositions’ opinion means their disrespect & defeatation. So debates always go on resulting hartals are called for.

Importance of Calling Hartal

Hartal is an extreme democratic right. It can be used for both political and non political reasons for the betterment of country by any political or non political parties. Though Hartal helps us to be united toward a single goal, most of the people (including the political/non political party who call for hartals) don’t like hartals.
